My thoughts receded as I stood there,
Relishing the mosaic of leaves and birds,
That specially occur on summer daybreaks,
Serendipity, in the middle of a non-eventful life.
That’s when I finally removed my shoes,
Looking up at the large green cover,
To rub my soles to the dirt of my land,
Spreading my chest to gallons of humid air.
My hometown in the South,
This is where my origins belong.
